Joining LAS Nursery

We understand that joining a nursery for the first time can bring lots of questions and anxiety and invite you to join us for a tour and meet our team before you make any decisions. We have collated all the information on the website and more in our Nursery Prospectus.

At LAS we have developed a Settling in Programme to ensure you and your child get the reassurance you need to feel settled before you are due to start with us.
To ease the transition to nursery, we invite you to come along to sessions one week before your start date. This programme is completely free and allows you to take the time you need, to feel comfortable leaving your child at the nursery for the first time.

Admissions

If you would like to take a place at LAS Nursery, we invite you to join us for a tour if you haven't already, and we can talk you through the admissions process and answer any questions you may have. You'll be asked to fill out a registration form and let us know when you would like to start and what days you would like your little one to attend.

We can talk through fees and help you to apply for childcare funding if applicable. Once your registration fee is paid, your place with be secured and you'll receive the welcome pack confirming all the information you need including your attendance plan, your allocated key person, your home visit details, settling week, fees, and more.

Key Person

Every child has their own key person to help them feel settled while they’re at the nursery. Your key person will work closely with you to understand your child’s individual needs and routines.

Home Visit

If you decide to join LAS Nursery, we will arrange a home visit where your child can meet their key person in their own environment before they start at the nursery.

This is an opportunity for your child to start building a rapport with their key person and share information about routines and their likes and dislikes.

Settling Week  (free)

We start with one-hour sessions and build up from there. During these sessions you’ll both get to know your key person and develop the key person – child bond so that they feel safe and comfortable to stay for a longer sessions each time.

As a small business, we understand the financial climate is difficult for everyone. That is why we have kept our fees as low as possible and they remain one of the most competitively priced nurseries in the borough and beyond.

Fees are calculated over 50 weeks of the year, and averaged into 12 monthly payments and include our extra curricular sessions, meals, snacks, nappies and milk.

This is an employer supported benefit. It enables employees who choose to use a nursery setting for the care of their child, to save money as a result of reduced tax and national insurance payments. This benefit can be used from birth up to the age of 5 (or when the child goes to school). Visit https://www.workplace-nursery.net/ for more information.
